This award-winning home is on the Gulf Islands off the coast of British Columbia. Its 3000 square feet of flowing geometry is on three levels with an open plan. "We took several creative risks on this project but the rewards for stepping 'outside the box' were many", says Designer and Project Manager, Murray Arnott. "I stretched the imagination and abilities of the log builder, Tim Reid of Whistler Valley Log Homes, and Doug Jamieson, the General Contractor, but they consistently rose to the occasion.

The main living areas, which make generous use of natural light, wrap around a large three-sided fireplace. The full circle Master Bedroom Suite is entirely on its own level as is the children's wing. The construction, which took almost eighteen months is a hybrid of Scandinavian fullscribe and piéce en piéce.
